Friday:
\nI went to the hotel after getting a much need haircut around 12:00pm. The was only a small line for registration it only too me 15 minutes to register at the door compared to the tow hour death march just to Pick up my pre-reg badge at Kumoricon . Panels of interest were a thin for me but no big problem. I approached Orycon as a relax-a-con: spending more time lounging around and talking to people than rushing panel to panel. My big Chococat had made his appearance and like other cons was a big hit. The first panel \u201cHas the dream of MLK been realized?” was the fist on my list; the theme was about tolerance with in fandoms and social issues. The panelists where great not going into all to usual lets bash Christians and conservatives are racist mode of thinking. Next up was Guy\u2019s How to create AMV panel, this was better than last year. Finally, was what\u2019s on your nightstand? Panel the opening ceremony, which the skit was a bit to long. Dinner and catching up with old friends was the order of the evening before going home.<\/p>\n

Travel Kitty at AMV Panel<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n

Saturday:
\nWoke up and pack a lunch; in order to save money I brown bag it in. I just got in time to go to the Religion in Genre Fiction panel just it time. I guest her open the subject beyond the Christian Science Fiction genre. Next was the Everybody Draws panel event for some art time. From that time on it was more art and socializing till the Fandom: Liberals vs. Conservatives, or happy coexistence? Panel and more walking and out for dinner before attending Guy\u2019s always amusing and often painful Anime Music Video showings before hading up to the cantina for a beer and head home.<\/p>\n

Sunday:
\nI rush down to the convention after church I caught the Drawing with real artists before going out for lunch. There not much for me do after this panel but to socialize until the feedback session. The only gripe was the closing down the con suit at 4:00pm. With everything else shut down, there was no sense in hanging around, so I called a con and whet home.<\/p>\n

The Good:
\nWhile panel selection was a bit thin, it allows me to go to panels I was interested in without the rush.
\nThe Hotel was very good; prices where high but not stratospheric like the Hilton during Kumoricon.<\/p>\n

The Bad:
\nSmall con suite but other than noting to complain about.<\/p>\n

The Ugly
\nNothing a perfect 10<\/p>\n

Overall, I had a great time at Orycon. I did not take many pictures because it was mostly the same picture different costumer.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
