The time: 31 July to\u00a0 2 Aug\u00a0 2015;\u00a0 100pm Session.<\/p>\n

Hello Kitty\u2019s \u00a0Subercute Friendship Festival is touring North America until end of this mounts. \u00a0\u00a0There were five sessions available , I selected the 1:00pm to 5:00pm. I\u00a0 started at 1:00pm because I bought a ticket for the Red Bow premium package. This includes and exclusive photo op with Hello Kitty, one hour early entry, ( the main events did not start until \u00a02:00pm and lasted to\u00a0 5:00pm), and early shopping\u00a0 time.<\/p>\n

I stated a day with a brunch\u00a0 at Hometown Buffet because my session would last the entire\u00a0 lunch hour. \u00a0I got to the Coliseum around 12:00pm. What struck me there was only a trailer\u00a0 that showed there was\u00a0 the event but no lines.\u00a0 By1:00pm\u00a0 there was \u00a050 us who line up for the early in\u00a0 and\u00a0\u00a0 few others\u00a0 line up for general \u00a0admission. We who had to premium\u00a0 tickets were led in separate rooms for a photo op and\u00a0 then to the main events section for\u00a0 a chance \u00a0for shopping a d a few moment to enjoy\u00a0 the display before the general admission people were let in. \u00a0I bought a few items than took a few\u00a0 pictures before the crowd came in. I also finally got to meet Evelyn, a fellow\u00a0 Hello Kitty lover on Hello Kitty Junkies, a social network for Hello Kitty fans.<\/p>\n
There we two stages for shows and\u00a0 interactive displays and items displays \u00a0featuring \u00a0other charters and displays lined the outside of the arena Hello Kitty\u2019s \u00a0Supercute Friendship\u00a0 Festival borrowed \u00a0from \u00a0past\u00a0 events. For example the charter balloons in the rafters came from\u00a0 Sanrio\u2019s 50th anniversary \u00a0event in Santa Monica, \u00a0The opening song The World is saying Hello Kitty came was use to promote Hello Kitty Online, and\u00a0 the Slippers Tea Cup and Purse came from the recent Hello Kitty convention. \u00a0While the\u00a0\u00a0 display and shows appealed to children it was not dumb \u00a0down \u00a0to where adults could not enjoy the festival. \u00a0I lie how the mascot know there stuff and were \u00a0expressive in such cumbersome costumes . The best part of the sow to me was Batz \u00a0Marau showing off his\u00a0 chops in a guitar vs. rock Violin section of the finale. \u00a0The line were not long and people were able \u00a0to get pictures with other\u00a0 characters , making the premium tickets\u00a0 not necessary except \u00a0\u00a0I look at it as a way to support\u00a0 the festival beyond general admission. The again I think the\u00a0 event was planned to handle a lot more people. \u00a0Over all\u00a0 I enjoyed the event .<\/p>\n
But alas, I wish my fellow Hello Kitty fans\u00a0 in North America would enjoy \u00a0\u00a0Hello Kitty\u2019s\u00a0 Subercute Friendship Festival, but this not to be:\u00a0 Vee \u00a0announced it has canceled\u00a0 the tour after Glendale Arizona\u00a0 this year.\u00a0 I know in back of my mind there was a huge risk having a large arena show. \u00a0Hey would have to consistently sellout the event o make money. There \u00a0were indications the show was struggle in Portland like discount tickets and large lines did not materialized. I think Sanrio and \u00a0Vee is poorly handling\u00a0 that . I hope \u00a0Sanrio can make good\u00a0 with another be it scale down \u00a0national touring event .<\/p>\n\n\t\t
