While feisty I agree with McCain’s mother.  While Rush very knowledgeable about the media, he is severely shallow in philosophical and intellectual thought and displays the  defective traits of conservatism in that conservatism can impede liberalism but dose not offer a different course. In addition, Conservatism just offers the same form of collectivism at the expense of individual liberty. He drove the GOP to the ground by turning to populism and pietism rather than individualism and capitalism.

Speaking of conservatism, after  a bit of a debate with the conservative loonies at Broadband Reports forum, I sought out thoughts of like minded people; the  passage from  Why I Am Not a Conservative by Nobel laureate F. A. Hayek captures the problem with conservatism.

Make Mine Freedom

I was made aware of the video from another board. I it is defiantly a video of the ages concerning the poison of surrendering ones freedom to collectivism. This cartoon short is word for word the Obama administration, how though, “ism” of bailouts government is taking over management, and labor through the proposed card check law.   As a bonus, this cartoon gives clear definition and example of our capitalism system and how the utopist are using divisions to get us to sign away our freedoms.

Tea Party Update

I need to take back the point that there were about 800 at the event. I heard Pioneer Courthouse Square can hold thousands, so the 3000 to 5000 seems to be right.

 What I find troubling was the Liberal Democrat response to the Tea Parties, saying the parties were an Astroturffing cabal put on by Dick Armey, when it was the opposite. Many parties were non partisan and locally organized. Furthermore the Liberals know about astroturfing. During the rally for Oregon’s Schools on Fen 16 this year, the organizers bussed in thousands of students. One of the busses pulled up next to me returning from the rally. Compared this to the Tea Party, where we made our own way down town, furthermore; the people at the event were just ordinary Joes not professional activist the liberals used.
