They are more than a few problem with Obama speech. First I am tired of politician raising taxes on the rich under the guise of making them pay their fair share. The democrats are moving the goal post in defining what is a fair share. I thought the rational for raising taxes in the past was making the rich pay “fair share”. Logic says one a tax Increase enacted the rich should be paying their fair share. Yet every year the Libra want to increases taxes higher because the rich according to their view are not paying a fair share even after already passing a tax increase on the rich. Second and more grievous is the money is supposed to (I don’t believe it) to help working families. like paying for child care. Wait just a minute, there are millions middleclass workers like me who are single, or married with no children, or empty nester that will see all the pain of increasing taxes but little benefit. So what Obama disingenuously claims to help the middleclass by assistance to only a small group of middleclass . Finally as a Christian I find the pitting of middle class against the rich a sin:
