Time for Libertarians to Call it a Day

I feel the final Presidential numbers says it all, it proves Libertarian are ineffective in getting their message out to  the voters especially with significant dissatisfaction with  incumbent candidates especially among the conservative Republican base .  More telling was here in the First Congressional District where the resignation of Joel Haugen as the republican candidate over the loss of any obligation to support by GOP because of his public camping for Obama left a huge opportunity for Libertarians   to capture republican votes as an alternative.

This opportunity as well as in 2006 by the flame out of Derik Kitts campaign, was left untaken. The problem is Libertarian is a party of pragmatism than principals. Its members are a hodgepodge of conflicting constituencies from anarchist, anti- cooperate socialist, dug users and economic conservative that would spend more time arguing with them selves than govern.. Even today Libertarians are trying to ride the coattails of the Democrat victory than look how to with in the future.

Libertarians it is time for you to turnoff the lights and call it  a day.

My Election Response

I believe this election is the Death Knell of Conservatism as a political philosophy. The problem is conservatives are too interested in protecting collective intuitions rather than the freedom of individuals. The fact is conservatism is as collectivist as liberalism.

The solution is individualism, separation of state and institutions, and Laissez Faire Capitalism.  I am convened as almost as much as God exist, as long as the looters and moochers feels entitled to force others to sacrifice for their benefit the endless spiral to statism will continue.

It is the only way.

Pay No Attention To That Man Behind The Curtain

This is how I felt when I was watching part of the congressional hearing Kangaroo Court proceedings over the finical crisis. The dragging out of CEOs is an attempt to deflect the role of the government from the Community Reinvestment Act to creation Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac especially in the late 1990. I do remember democrats whining about bank discrimination and red-lining poor neighborhoods. Like the war on poverty, liberal compassion has a knack of making things worst for those who they try to help.

Speaking about CEO Pay, what is with congress? I am sorry but 20 million bonus and 440,000 retreats is peanuts to trillions that will be spent to fix the mess government caused.  This pay envy stupidly dose not just reside in the finical world. I was reading some doctors rant about six drug companies CEO pay totaling 440 million. I had to remind him that 440 million is around .13% that point 1 3, of the government outlay for health and humans service including Medicaid.

Time to catch up.

I have been a busy with politics and stuff last month and was unable to post anything. Getting back to the election I was very pleased with both Sarah Palin and John McCain’s performance during the convention. Unlike Obama, I did not feel I was being talked down to like a child.   Mr.. McCain shows himself to be very humble. It might explain his distain for political ad hominem attacks. In fact he rarely mentions Obama in the speech. I do not believe he not conservative, but after four years of hypocritical performance by conservatives I rather give this “maverick” a chance

I am going to keep it short.
