Kumoricon is a Anime Convention in Portland and Vancouver WA area. This was my six year attending. Because it was a for day con, it was all plushies on deck; all my big plushies had a day as my companions.

The Convention: Furlandia
The Place: Sheraton Hotel Portland Airport
The dates: May 23-25, 2014
Furlandia is a furry convention in Portland Oregon. This is the second year running.
At first I was very apprehensive about going this year. There were two ghost that was in my mind. First there was Furlandia 2013, with a hotel in the middle of nowhere, the MTV fiasco, and the fursuit death march. The second was Sheraton Hotel Portland Airport that held the defunct MEW (Manga and Exotic Worlds) convention, Mewcon’s bad relations with the hotel helped lead to its demise.
I was at Haru-Matsuri at PCC Rock Creek today. It was winding down by 5:00pm when I go there.Still it got me out of the house for a few hours. I wish they had it on Saturday but I understand it was put on by and paid for by PCC and want ran during school hours.
The Convention Portland Comic Con
The Place: Oregon Convention Center
The Dates : 24 – 26 Jan 2014
Convention season has got of to a rousing start with Wizard World’s Portland. Portland Comic con is a major Comic Con like convention. Both Kiju Kitty and Chococcat were my companions
Friday /Saturday: I vacillated between going or not because of the lack of any advance schedule of events. The preview page makes make Portland Comic Con look like Celebrity Porn. Noting sexual vut the man focus is on celebrities over fan future and media. It ok if one likes to go goo-goo gaga over their favorite celebrity, but for me I am more of a fandom an d media person. I decided to go late Friday night because I was board.

NEW Con is a multi-genre convention covering Anime, Science Fiction, Pop Culture and anything in between. Both my Hello Kitty plushies and Chococat were my companions.
